is a fourth class municipality in the province of Laguna, Philippines.
According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 23,523 people.
The town, is located at the north-eastern part of Laguna, along the
shores of picturesque Laguna de Bay.
It was founded in 1580 by Spanish friars Juan de Plasencia and Diego de Oropesa of the Franciscan Order. It is believed that the earliest inhabitants were of Malay lineage, coming all the way from Borneo in their swift and sturdy boats called "Balangay".

Mabitac is an enchanting small town. It is the gateway of Laguna from Rizal province area. Every year this town celebrates 3-Kings Festival (January 6) with a rare and amazing activities like the Pasabog or Shower of money (coins and bills) thi is the only kind of festival in the Philippines.
Mabitac is a fifth class municipality in the province of Laguna,
Philippines. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 18,618
people and a total land area of 80.76 square kilometres.
Mabitac was an excellent hunting ground for wild game three centuries
ago. Native hunters used numerous cave-ins or trap-ins called "bitag" in the local dialect. Hence, the place was referred to as "Mabitag" meaning "a place with many traps".
Mabitac is situated on the eastern side of the province of Laguna, 88 kilometres (55 mi) from Manila using Rizal Province on a winding road, or 123 kilometres (76 mi) via the South Luzon Express, Calamba and Santa Cruz, Laguna.

Santa Maria is a fourth class municipality in the province of Laguna, Philippines. It is considered as the rice granary of Laguna.
Santa MarÃa, at 126 km is the 3rd largest town in Laguna
in terms of land area, after San Pablo City and Calamba City, followed
by Lumban.
It is surrounded by the towns of Tanay (Rizal) on the north-west;
Pililla (Rizal) on the west; Mabitac on the south-west, Famy on the
southeast (both in Laguna); and Real (Quezon) on the north-east. It is
the northernmost town in Laguna.
Bounded by the provinces of Rizal and Quezon from the western portion up to the northern tip down north eastern part, the town has a mountainous terrain.
How to there. From Manila it can be reached thru two routes. First is using the famous SLEX passing Calamba to Sta Cruz, Pagsanjan, Paete and Famy. At Mabitac Junction (johnson) turn left going to this town. Second route is thru Ortigas Ext., going up to Antipolo, Tanay, Pililia and Mabitac. At Mabitac Junction (Brgy Nanguma) turn left to Santa Maria.

One of the places you should not miss to visit in Santa Maria is the Three (3) Falls, located in Brgy. Laurel. 15 minutes trycicle ride from the town proper.
